MassBlocker — Terms of Use

1. Agreement

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Epyphite Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202011664K), Singapore ("we", "us", "Epyphite"). By installing, accessing, or using MassBlocker ("the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

2. What MassBlocker is

MassBlocker is an adult self-limitation and focus tool for Android. It lets you block access to apps you find distracting until you complete a real-world unlock action. It is designed for adults who want to manage their own screen time or, via family sharing, help household members manage theirs.

MassBlocker is not a parental-control, child-safety, or device-management product. It is not directed at children under 13. Where a parent uses it on a minor's device, the parent accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.

3. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use MassBlocker on Android devices you own or control, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
• Distribute, sublicence, or make the app available to third parties except through the official distribution channel (Google Play)
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose

4. Free and paid tiers

MassBlocker's free tier provides core blocking functionality without requiring an account.

Pro and Family subscriptions are purchased through our website via Stripe — not through Google Play's in-app billing. Your payment relationship for subscriptions is with Epyphite via Stripe. Google Play's refund policies do not apply to web-purchased subscriptions.

Lifetime purchases grant a perpetual licence to the paid features available at the time of purchase. We may add features to the paid tier over time; a lifetime purchase does not guarantee access to features introduced after your purchase date.

Current pricing is listed at criticalmass.tech/pricing. Prices may change; active subscriptions continue at the price agreed at subscription time until renewed.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refund is given for the remainder of a period.

Lifetime purchases are final. Refund requests for extraordinary circumstances may be directed to [email protected] and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Family sharing

A Family subscription allows the account holder to extend paid features to up to five people in their household. The account holder is responsible for all household members' use and for ensuring each member is aware of these Terms.

7. Accounts

Pro and Family features require an account, authenticated via magic link sent to your email address. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account.

You may delete your account at any time (in-app or by contacting us). See our Privacy Policy and account deletion instructions.

8. Android permissions

MassBlocker requires Accessibility Service and Usage Access permissions to function. These are used solely to detect the foreground app and enforce your blocks. Granting these permissions is voluntary; the app cannot block apps without them. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

9. Intellectual property

All rights in and to MassBlocker — including its code, design, trademarks, and content — are owned by Epyphite Pte. Ltd. or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

MassBlocker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that blocking will work in all circumstances. Android updates, manufacturer customisations, and other apps may affect blocking behaviour. MassBlocker is a self-limitation aid, not a guarantee of productivity.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Epyphite's total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the app or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Epyphite is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

12. Termination

You may stop using MassBlocker at any time by uninstalling the app and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms. On termination, the licence granted in section 3 ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (including sections 9–11, 13, and 14) will survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (for example, via the app or email).

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
